Danish rock chic supermodel-of-the-moment Freja Beha Erichsen looks hot in the Georg Jensen 2011 Global Brand Campaign.  The campaign was shot in New York by Sebastian Faena.

‘Georg Jensen is a Danish brand, I’m a Danish model and there are not too many of us. Therefore doing the campaign for Georg Jensen was something really special to me. Georg Jensen is such a unique brand and being part of this iconic design company is an honour – and great fun’, says Freja Beha Erichsen.

In case you weren’t aware we are in LOVE with the Louis Vuitton SC bag. Combining supple, specially treated calf leather and velvet soft suede to elegant effect. Exclusively designed by Sofia Coppola, it’s the epitome of timeless glamour. 

Phoebe Philo has been at the helm of the label for her third collection and has reinvented minimalism and sparseness. For Spring 2011 this feeling was heightened by the predominance of white, ivory, and other pale shades. Still, Philo has loosened things up a bit. Pants are long and more flowy, with deep hems. And with the exception of a super blazer-cape hybrid, she’s mostly rejected tailored jackets in favour of tunics, popover tops, and even a Baja jacket.

Philo embraces the artisanal: beautifully handwoven silk, quilting, raw canvas and denim, even long fringes on scarves. Prints are another area of interest the designer began exploring in the pre-collection. The geometric designs—riffs on vintage foulards—had a graphic sportiness that played counterpoint to the craft. Precision sportswear that emphasized sporty over sharp.

Keeping in line with the Moroccan-North African train of thought, Philo wove traditional workwear–note the apron pockets and jumpsuits-cum-coveralls–into a collection that was anything but bourgeois. Masculine touches abound in the low-slung trousers with exposed zippers. An Asian undercurrent emerged as the show progressed, witnessed in the contrast waistband and graphic scarf prints in blue, green and red that showed up on shirts quilted judo vests. The clean, modernist lines Philo has become synonymous with echoed through in the now iconic house white shirts–now done as a long djellaba. Perhaps the most eye-catching? The soft tan leather pieces paired with soft-blue chambray and deep royal blue. For evening the collection evolved into multi-coloured rainbow stripes across the hips and down the side seams. Simply sublime!

Refreshed and inspired for 2010 Shareen discovered James Perse during a stopover in Los Angeles. Catching her eye was this custom Limited Edition beach cruiser. Fat 55mm tires, a Hydro-formed Aluminum frame, billet Aluminum steering stem coupled with leather seat and handlebars makes for one serious beach ride…

A jewel of the Milan Furniture fair, Spazio Rossana Orlandi opened in 2002 in an old building in the Magenta District, close to Cadorna Station and ancient Sant’Ambrogio Church. The Space is divided into two different areas – one dedicated to design furnishing with a gallery for exhibitions, the other dedicated to fashion. The driving spirit behind Spazio Rossana Orlandi lies in the exploration and the discovery of all that is new and original in the world of Interior and Fashion design. From 2005 a fine collection of exclusive brands and designers have been launched.

Accosted waters edge by none other than Shareen herself, young Raf Brown was spotted riding his personally crafted Paulownia timber surf board. A little further digging reveals Tom Wegener of Noosa hand makes these beauties, finless & individually customisable – surely the ultimate Australian board ?
